GDPR Compliance

This page explains how PragueCasinoGuide complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the data protection law of the European Union. Although our website is based in the Czech Republic, we respect and uphold the rights of all users under GDPR, regardless of location.

Scope and Applicability

PragueCasinoGuide is an informational blog that provides guides, reviews, and tips about casinos in Prague. We do not collect personal information through user registration, accounts, or forms. However, we use third-party services such as analytics and cookies that may process limited personal data, including IP addresses and browsing behavior, as permitted under GDPR.

Your Rights Under GDPR

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access: You may request confirmation of whether we process your personal data and receive a copy of it.
  • Right to rectification: You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Right to erasure (right to be forgotten): You may request deletion of your personal data where there is no compelling reason for its continued processing.
  • Right to restriction of processing: You may request that we limit the way we use your data under certain conditions.
  • Right to data portability: You may request your data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
  • Right to object: You may object to the processing of your data based on legitimate interest, including profiling.

How We Comply

We do not store personal data in any database or user profile system. Any data collected via analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) is anonymized where possible and retained only for statistical purposes. We use lawful basis of legitimate interest for processing data necessary to improve our content and user experience. We have implemented technical and organizational measures to ensure data security and minimize data retention.

Data We Process

The only personal data we may process includes:

  • IP addresses (anonymized in analytics tools)
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies used for site functionality and analytics
  • Browser type, device type, and pages visited (aggregated and anonymized)

No names, email addresses, phone numbers, or financial data are collected or stored.

Legal Basis for Processing

Our processing of personal data is based on legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. This includes improving website performance, understanding user behavior to enhance content, and ensuring site security. We balance this interest against your rights and freedoms, and we do not process data for direct marketing or profiling.

How to Exercise Your Rights

To exercise any of your GDPR rights, please send a request to our data protection contact:

Include your full name, the right you wish to exercise, and any relevant details (e.g., IP address or cookie identifier if known). We will respond without undue delay and within one month.

Response Timeframes

We are required by GDPR to respond to your requests within one month of receipt. In complex cases, we may extend this period by two additional months and will inform you of the delay and reasons within one month.

No Discrimination Policy

We will not deny you access to our content, charge you fees, or provide a lower quality of service because you exercised your GDPR rights. All users have equal access to our guides and information regardless of whether they make a data request.
